Hi,
ja, Scanner scannt, aber hat irgend wer Erfahrung mit OCR, also Texterkennung, unter Linux? Empfehlungen?
deja vu. die Frage kam mir doch bekannt vor. Hie der reply aus der slug-liste:
Has anybody any experience with the various OCR packages available? Freshmeat has ocre, gocr and FreeOCR; presumably they differ.
I've used gocr a bit and it works well. Scan in a page, trim it in the gimp, then $ gocr myscan.pnm -o blah.txt and that's it. I used to use a few commercial ocr progs on some legacy commecial OS's and for all their widgets they did no better.
