Man achte auf die Revisionsnummer :-) Eine kleine Demo kann ich ja am 11. April geben. Aber keinen richtigen Vortrag, dazu ist es noch zu nichtfunktional, und ich muss gerade zuviel andere vorbereiten.

--- trunk/KDE/kdelibs/knewstuff/README.knewstuff2 #649999:650000 @@ -4,32 +4,12 @@ This is the stating area which will lead to a much more powerful KNewStuff library for collaborative data sharing in KDE 4.
-The following updated information can be given already: +Read featureguide.txt for an introduction.
-* In trunk/kdelibs/knewstuff, we have basically KNewStuff ported - to KDE 4. It might or might not work - do not file bug reports. - This is not KNS2, but KNS1-KDE4, and will soon be replaced. - Some small parts of it (container classes and dialogs) made - their way into KNS2, but most of it was rewritten from scratch. - Part of the cleanup will also be to support the new GHNS formats - as defined on ghns.freedesktop.org, while keeping compatibility - support for the old format. +Have a look at doc/*.txt for some documentation, especially the tutorial.
-* Here, we have KNewStuff2 which was switched to KDE 4 some time - ago, based on KNS1 and KDXS. - KDXS was developed under KDE 3 for a long time but since KDE 4 - gained enough stability it was ported, allowing it to synchronise - faster with KNS1-KDE4. - KDXS implements "social content service" support, that is, the user - can give ratings, comments etc. directly from within the GUI. +There's also some ideas at http://techbase.kde.org/Projects/KNS2.
-* Also integrated now, we have a slightly adapted version of the new - download dialog, shamelessly ripped from the annotations_branch of - KPDF, which is now still being used in oKular. - It looks much better than the old one, but has several things - hardcoded. The overall design idea is to be able to use multiple - dialogs, by cleanly separating all operations into the KNS engine. +Finally, some possible extensions to KNewStuff2 are still in +/branches/work/knewstuff2.
-There you go. Have a look at doc/*.txt for some documentation, -especially the tutorial. -
